Hear about the most common mistakes teachers make in trying to motivate students and discover detailed strategies for promoting a "growth mindset" rather than "fixed mindset" in the classroom.

Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D. Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D., author of Mindset: The New Science of Success, is the Lewis and Virginia Eaton Professor of Psychology at Stanford University. Her research focuses on why students succeed and how to foster their success. Dr. Dweck was recently awarded the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award from the American Psychological Association—the highest honor in psychology.
