I have been a Mathematics teacher in a K-12 school of India for last 22 years and for the first ten years I taught Maths with just two very effective tools: Chalk and Board(and of course Talk)! In the last 12 yrs or so the technology has speedily caught up in every part of world and so in India. The use of technology in Math is what interest me, I am fairly familiar with Geometer's Sketchpad and Geogebra (having self taught myself ).

At present(till Dec) I am at Maryland, USA under Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching and am working on a Capstone project on Use of Technology in teaching and learning of Mathematics.

I am keen to know how and which tool you are using in your class?Does using technology changes your entire approach to the concept? How have you trained yourself? Is school supporting your professional development? Is using technology a time saver or you need more time to deliver a concept?

Answers to the any or all of the above queries will help me build on my project which will then be used for Professional development of teachers in India.

Thanks
