I am working on using my classroom website effectively, and is wondering  if anyone has useful resources or cool ideas other than posting notes, solutions, links, information? Has anyone tried math blogs and what are the suggested discussion questions?

I don't know!  Maybe get in touch with Steve Demos or Ali Mehrassa; they might have some good ideas.   Good luck!
I am working with them on a regular basis. Demos is my school partner. But thanks anyway
I think a class blog might be a good forum for making real world connections to math learning. You could assign the students the task of taking pictures, finding news articles, and so forth that can help others make a connection from math class learning to getting a better understanding of real events. In my mind this would be a way of getting them to wonder about the math that 'lies behind'. It need not be directly related to a specific lesson or topic, but could provide an interesting way to wrap up a class -- to take a peek at the previous day's post and discuss with the class what the blogger saw and how they might extend that spark of an idea. Periodically you could post one of your own and ask the students to reply with math questions they might ask based on what they see.
