I'm adding tutorials in Objects world. Currently there are tutorials for the following:

Hi...here's a web page link that explains all the world options and rights entries. It's probably best if you highlight and Copy the link then Paste it into your regular web browser: http://host.activeworlds.com/mauz/public/worldrunning.html#options

I'd like to reiterate my offer of help to world owners. I have a great build-bot program (updated for v5.1) that can copy whole worlds, portions of worlds for special backups and for transporting backups elsewhere. I can also demo building techniques in-world for you and with v5.1's great, improved Voice Chat, talking will help a lot. I can be reached in Skype username: quasarvrd   Email: vrdweller@gmail.com

Hi Scott,

Thank you so much for the offer; it is very generous, and a way to build capacity for us new to the process. I will definitely be taking advantage of the offer, if you don't mind.

Hi Scott,

Is there a way to copy part of the world, deconstruct it, then reconstruct it from the original again?

Thanks,

Tamara

Hi Tamara,

I have a "buildbot" program that can backup (copy) an entire world or portions of a world and then reconstruct them elsewhere. Email me at: vrdweller@gmail.com and we can discuss it further.

Scott Miller

Scott, you are a hero. I don't know anyone as selfless as you when it comes to putting in time and effort to scaffold student learning. Your generosity is an inspiration and helps me through those "long" days. If education had more champions like you...well, the world would be a better and more learned place. Thanks for your kind offers of help to those that are just getting started with the catching up we must do to meet students where they are.

Hi BCNexus'ers! I've added more help tutorials and demos in Objects world. We now have demos for particle emitters, movers and seqs added to NPCs (avatar objects). We also now have tutorials for using the 'midi' command and a link to all world-level options for world owners plus a link to my budding building tutorial YouTube channel. I'll be adding more to that in the future so if you go there, subscribe to the channel and you'll get automatic email messages whenever I add new videos.

Addition: I also just added 8 more tutorial/demos for the following commands in Objects world: Animate, Color, Texture, Picture, Rotate, Move, Media and Teleport/Warp.

Thanks for all your efforts, Scott! The tutorials are so helpful for both teachers and students as they get started building in the NEXUS. Tamara and Alissa have been bringing new students into their worlds. The others are fairly dormant right now.

I've been gradually adding new objects to the Objects yard (blue quadrant): there are some really cool ones there now! Lots more to come, too...probably more than the Objects world can hold. May need to start deleting any duplicates we find.
