Hi Corrie, Good to hear from you. The Planning/HCE/Grad Transitions course clusters are a good starting place, we've found. Have you had a conversation with your administration yet? I've also found that one of the major barriers to wider implementation is the perceived workload of taking on eportfolios. Most of this challenge can be mitigated with an educational piece, but also with a well-thought out progression toward wider adoption. For example, encouraging students to collect their own evidence of learning and putting up posters reminding them to do so in participating classes could be one way to build awareness of eportfolios without an additional workload piece while building the program. Staff meetings are also places to connect, as are parent information sessions. It sounds like you are on your way. You are welcome to use any of the slides in this presentation I had put together if they fit your objectives: http://www.slideshare.net/tmalloff/e-portfolio-scope-sequence-2011 Best of luck; let us know how it's going!

Hello Tamara since the first time you inspired me to use Eportfolios I have now incorporated this in our sd73 Planning 10 course.  I am now encouraging others teachers to use EPorfolios.  I know one teacher uses eportfolios for students to demonstrate what they feel represents their learning for a specific accounting period.  My main struggle is to encourage other educators to discover how to use the eportfolio.  I am thinking about having after school sessions for colleagues in our district.  Corrie Macdonald

Try out these apps for eportfolio assessment courtesy of @mrrobbo:

1. Easy Eportfolio: create groups/classes, add individual students, then assessments in text, audio, video, or URL links. Send to students or parents.

2. Easy Assessment: develop rubrics for groups, download as .csv or send via Dropbox or email.

Great way to collect assessment information on the fly, we've found!

We had a wonderful time putting it together, and having Dr Barrett on board was a particular privilege! Thank you for your participation, Cindy--you thoughtful posts and guiding conversations were much appreciated. We'll be sending out a consolidated resource in the next few days, so stay tuned...

The MoodleMeet was absolutely terrific, Tamara & Sarah! What an excellent job you did of putting together the resources and in bringing in Dr. Helen Barrett for the webinar.  I've learned soooo much and enjoyed this Meet beyond belief. So much to think about!

Taking a look at Key Competencies starting with HCE 7-9 Programs as part of Eportfolios:

1. Communication Skills
2. Healthy Living
3. Creativity and Innovation
4. Citizenship & Social Responsibility
5. Collaborating & Connecting
6. Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking

These competencies xan be used as part of reflection process on assignments/projects, and as tags as well. How are your student Eportfolios being organized?

Once we have the eportfolio scope and sequence more clearly articulated, we'll share it with our colleagues on CEET. Thank you for being an integral part of this process, Jeff.
