Permalink Reply by Randy LaBonte on September 1, 2011 at 19:50 Not sure many folks are using Adobe Connect in the province with the free Elluminate service and licenses available through LearnNowBC http://www.learnnowbc.ca/lnbcresources/elluminate/default.aspx.
However, while not personally using the plugin, I know that it will work just fine. Typically most teachers set up one virtual classroom for the year and just embed the link in their course homepage. Plugins are needed if you have to share licenses and schedule events at specific times. Also, often the administration systems of Adobe or Elluminate require additional inputs to function fully. Integration is good, but has its limits.

We are about to launch Adobe Connect in our district (SD 10 -- Arrow Lakes) and I used it to present to a UBC conference this past May after seeing it demo'd in July 2010 at the San Jose, CA Emerging Technologies for Online Learning conference. California State University uses Moodle and Adobe Connect together to deliver a high quality teacher education program at a distance across the US. Brandon Martinez at Rossier (USC) is the professor who presented at ET4OL and I just talked him again this summer at ET4OL about his teacher ed program using Connect and Moodle.
