How are you integrating Web 2.0 and 21st Century Learning into your library or teaching practice?

Last night I watched a spur of the moment presentation by two very talented and highly motivated librarians on a collaboration project they were working on between their two schools on integrating technology and aboriginal education cross curricularly. The work that they have accomplished in just two months was impressive and what they shared about the challenges they faced and how they chose to overcome those was useful. What is the most important function of an elementary school library?

This year will see me move out of the classroom to try a new position as a
librarian and support teacher. As I consider my new role I think of the
importance of engendering a love of reading as well as life skills such as how
to find and evaluate resources. My question to you fellow bloggers is what do
you think the most important function of an elementary school library is?
